How is the procedure performed?
Post-acne laser resurfacing is performed in our Clinic on a special Harmony XL Pro laser device with a iPixel 2940 nm handpiece - this is the ideal technology for resurfacing the skin. The principle of its action consists in the evaporation of the surface layer of the epidermis together with all cosmetic defects. After laser treatment, the regenerative function of the skin is activated, due to which its cells are restored and renewed. The effect of post-acne laser resurfacing is stable and does not reverse. Elastic, beautiful and smooth facial skin is the result of laser polishing.
Course
How long is the course?
Depending on the severity of skin damage and the volume of work, it may take from 1 to 7 sessions to completely eliminate post-acne. You will feel the first positive result already after the end of the rehabilitation period (after 7-10 days), and the final one after 2-4 months.

Preparation
Preparation for the post-acne resurfacing procedure:
Two weeks before the procedure, you must:
refuse to visit the sauna, bathhouse, solarium;
use sunscreens with a high content of SPF protection;
do not tan in the sun;
do not take antibiotics, or stop taking them;
do not use products with retinoids;
do not use chemical peels.
Care
Care after the procedure.
For the first few days after laser resurfacing, do not wet the treated area, treat it every 2-3 hours with Chlorhexidine and apply Panthenol or Bepanthen. As soon as the peeling passes, stop using Chlorhexidine. Do not use cosmetics containing alcohol. The first week, try to spend as little time outside as possible. After the crust has come off, be sure to use sunscreen with SPF-50 and reapply it every 2-3 hours. For the next two weeks, refrain from sunbathing, visiting the sauna, bath and solarium.
