About the procedure
Any decrease in the body's protective forces and weakening of immunity (stress, various diseases) can lead to the growth of papillomas and an increase in their number. These are benign neoplasms that are caused by the HPV virus and affect the skin and mucous membranes. Even slight damage to the papilloma (for example, when putting on clothes) can lead to its inflammation. In rare cases, neoplasms can disappear by themselves, but in most cases they have to be removed to exclude the development of unpleasant consequences. One of the most effective and absolutely safe methods is exposure to liquid nitrogen, another name for the procedure is cryodestruction.
Will the procedure work for you?
Indications

Procedure
How is the papilloma cryodestruction procedure performed?
Cryodestruction of papillomas does not require special preparation. The specialist treats the growth with liquid nitrogen, depending on the depth of the pathology, the duration of cold exposure varies from 10 to 120 seconds. The doctor repeats the action several times, the whole session lasts up to 15 minutes. When the papilloma is removed with liquid nitrogen, destruction does not occur immediately - the “frozen” neoplasm falls off by itself within two weeks.
In some cases, the doctor may recommend laser removal of papillomas - the specialist directs a stream of laser beam to the affected area, the papilloma is burned out, while the neighboring tissues remain undamaged. The wound is treated, a crust forms over time at the place of removal, which cannot be peeled off, then it will fall off by itself. No traces remain after removal.

Frequently asked questions
When does the papilloma fall off after removal with liquid nitrogen?
Pathogens stop developing and gradually die. When the papilloma is removed with liquid nitrogen, the destruction of the papilloma does not occur immediately - the “frozen” neoplasm falls off by itself within two weeks.
What is better: cryodestruction or laser removal?
Both procedures can quickly and practically painlessly rid you of a neoplasm. However, cryodestruction is effective only if there are small papillomas or warts. If the size of the neoplasm is significant, if they have deep roots, then it is better to remove it with the help of a laser.
How many times should cryodestruction be done?
If the neoplasms are deep, in some cases the procedure is performed 2-3 times, with an interval of 2-3 weeks.
