About the procedure

Keratoma is a benign neoplasm of flesh-colored or various shades of brown skin. Usually, its shape is compared to a nodule, and when it grows, it is compared to a plaque. It is better to remove a keratoma with a laser in the early stages. Otherwise, they grow on the surface layers of the epidermis, which is accompanied by peeling and further excessive keratinization.

Care after the procedure:

After removal, it is important not to wet the removal site for two days. Treat the skin with a special antiseptic prescribed by the doctor. Do not visit the baths or swimming pools for two weeks. After a crust forms on the skin, it is impossible to tear it off, to scratch the skin at the place of the procedure, as this can lead to the formation of a scar. After the crust falls off by itself, you need to apply sunscreen with an SPF30 or higher, especially if the removal was in an open area.
