A papilloma on the head is recognized quite easily: a small neoplasm rises above the healthy skin and, as a rule, differs from it in color. Many types of papilloma can have a relatively long leg, and there are others in appearance.
Types of papilloma
Papillomas on the head can be of the following types:
flat warts - ordinary small warts that protrude above healthy skin by about 1-2 mm, most often appear in children and adolescents, which is why they are sometimes called juvenile warts;
pointed condylomas - in general, of course, this type of papilloma is usually located in the genital areas, but it can also appear in the mouth, they look like a rooster’s comb, they are usually lighter than healthy skin;
acrochords - as a rule, these are small warts (about 3-5 mm), which have a thread-like shape, they can also be rounded on a thin leg, on the head they can be located on the face, in the neck area and especially on the eyelids.

How is the procedure performed?
Today, laser removal of papillomas on the scalp is considered one of the most effective and fast methods. The laser affects only pathological tissues, not affecting healthy ones, and therefore does not leave behind a scar. The wound formed after laser removal lasts for one week. Care after the procedure.
The wound at the site of the removed papilloma must be treated with Chlorhexidine and Bepanten, every 3-4 hours for the first 3 days. After some time, a crust will form on the wound, which cannot be damaged or removed. After about a week or two, the crust will fall off on its own, leaving clean and smooth skin in its place. Until the crust falls off, you should refrain from visiting the bath, sauna and swimming pool. After it falls off when going outside, use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
