International Congress of Surgical Hair Restoration

The 3rd International Congress of Surgical Hair Restoration took place in Lviv

On February 19, 2022, the Third International Congress of Surgical Hair Restoration using modern techniques took place.

The Congress was held in Lviv for the third year in a row. This time – 5 days before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The purpose of the Congress was to present the latest methods in the field of treatment and restoration of lost hair, and to bring together leading specialists in the field to share knowledge and experience.

For the development of the industry, the organizers gathered more than 20 unique specialists who shared their clinical stories and unique practical experience. Speakers from Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Poland, Argentina, France and America attended the Congress.

The main purpose of the Congress

The relevance of the issue of surgical hair restoration is difficult to overestimate. Today, hair loss is one of the most common problems affecting half of the world’s population.

The Congress brought together specialists interested in solving the problem of hair loss, restoring already lost hair, and spreading medical education in the field of surgical hair restoration. It is the close development of science and practice, research of hair biology, and practical aspects of problem solving that allows us to spread knowledge, unite specialists from different countries and related fields and, as a result, develop the field of surgical hair restoration.

The topics of the Congress agenda were relevant to:

• transplant specialists
• trichologists
• micropigmentologists
• specialists in aesthetic medicine

At the Congress, all interested parties got acquainted with modern samples of equipment and microsurgical instruments. After all, one of the goals of the Congress was to present the latest innovative developments in the fields of hair transplantation, micropigmentation, and non-surgical hair restoration to the attention of all participants.

The key initiator of this Congress is the founder of the All-Ukrainian Association of Surgical Hair Restoration – Myroslava Novosilska (Ph.D., dermatologist-oncologist, trichologist and hair transplant specialist, as well as the owner of a network of aesthetic medicine clinics).

An important topic of the Congress: Hair Transplantation – How the Procedure Looks Like

The most important topic raised at the Congress was hair transplantation.

The frantic rhythm of life and technical progress lead to premature hair loss. Daily stress and harmful effects of the environment negatively affect our health and often become the cause of “rejuvenation” of many pathologies, including hair problems.

Before the hair transplant surgery, you need to undergo trichoscopy – examination of the skin and hair under multiple magnification, pass laboratory tests and identify disorders in the body. The main goal of treatment is to eliminate the causes that led to the loss. Thanks to this, the transplanted hair will not be exposed to the same danger of falling out after transplantation.

In the Aesthetic Medicine Clinic Myroslava Novosilska, a modern procedure of hair transplantation using the seamless FUE method is practiced. The All-Ukrainian Association of Surgical Hair Restoration once again managed to organize an international level Congress with a location in the center of Lviv. Each of the speakers, participants and invited guests are qualified doctors, members of international associations and representatives of the world’s most famous trichological companies. During their speeches, the speakers demonstrated their personal experiences, research results, conclusions and recommendations, which certainly became the property of the entire audience of the Congress and allowed for the exchange of experience. And this was the purpose of the Congress.

As a result, Myroslava Novosilska managed to open new opportunities for Ukrainian trichologists and introduce foreign guests to the heritage of Ukrainian medicine.
