Procedure

How is the procedure performed?

In Myroslava Novosilska Aesthetic Medicine Clinic, a modern device of Israeli-German production Harmony XL Pro with an iPixel handpiece is used for scar removal. The handle of the device is located above the grinding zone, and in the pre-selected mode, the specialist starts the impact. The laser beam (2490 nm) is delivered by “pixels” that create local microtraumas in the skin. Due to heating, vaporization occurs and a controlled burn is formed. Regeneration processes take place in and around the impact points. A slight tingling sensation is felt during the process.

Course

How long is the course?

In most cases, 2 to 5 sessions of laser resurfacing are enough, depending on the age of the scar, its size and depth. The interval between procedures is 2-4 weeks.

Care

Care after the procedure.

Do not wet the area of laser correction for several days. Treat with Chlorhexidine every 2-3 hours for the first few days, then apply Panthenol or Bepanthen. Protect from hot water and sun until complete healing. Do not try to remove the crust that forms on your own. Complete healing takes up to 14 days, after the crust falls off, it is necessary to apply sunscreen with an SPF 30 or higher.
